Summon The Faithless (Deluxe Edition)

Hank Just straightforward beer drinkin' music. And in all honesty, there aren't enough of bands like Lord Dying in metal anymore, who harken back to when the genre was fun and didn't take itself too seriously. Catchy riffage, guttural vocals, and lyrics that don't induce eye-rolling. Favorite track: Summoning The Faithless.

Patrick Goddard Saw these guys the other night at the Roxy. Great set. Solid riffs and arrangements. Their songs never seemed to linger too long or get boring. Very tight. These guys owned it.

Dirk Bergstrom Pure ass kicking metal. Will leave your ears in a Frightful State. As an added bonus, you can read the lyrics sheet without wincing. Favorite track: Summoning The Faithless.
Morts

Morts Crunching, crushing, rolling, rumbling! This is heavy as bloody hell! Let's hope Lord Dying will be around for a long time cuz the future of stoner/groove metal will be looking all the better for it! Get this album into your head and let it fester there for the rest of your life - this is a strong contender for metal album of the year so far...! Favorite track: In a Frightful State of Gnawed Dismemberment.

I saw the heart of the asphalt going over me That’s when I said goodbye to the Earth They tore apart her insides, raised hell from the sky That’s when I lost, the love of my life You’ll find no peace to salvage Only a peaceless savage I saw the heart of the asphalt going over me That’s when I saw the ground looking down They tore apart her insides, raised hell from the sky That’s when I lost the love of my life You’ll find no peace to salvage Only a peaceless savage I saw the heart of the asphalt going over me That’s when I said goodbye to the Earth They tore apart her insides, raised hell from the sky That’s when I lost, the love of my life You’ll find to peace to salvage Only a heartless savage

about

Portland, Oregon’s Lord Dying are poised to be the new heavyweight champions of metal. Smashing the riffs of High On Fire into the groove of Kylesa, Lord Dying have delivered one of the most impressive metal debuts in a long, long time. Having already toured and shared the stage with the likes of Down and Red Fang, Lord Dying are a young band that has matured well beyond their years into a fully developed titanic heavy metal band. Lord Dying’s ‘Summon The Faithless’ is not only one of the best debuts of 2013, but one of the straight up best records of the year by any band.

about

Lord Dying Portland, Oregon

Lord Dying come from Portland, Oregon, a place over abundant with purveyors of the heavy riff. A region where the inhabitants are plagued with nerve and joint damage due to lack of sunlight. In a time where everyone is trying to out-sludge or out-doom each other Lord Dying gives something less than a fuck. Lord Dying are here to pummel and promote simpler things like Cold brew-Hot Shower. ... more
